Hi! I’m Jay. I write stuff here.
I started as an entrepreneur and a brand consultant in 2013.
Professionally, over the past decade, I have worked in the supply chain, logistics, e-commerce, and advertising industries as a brand consultant and strategist, primarily in the Middle East. I have helped several Fortune 100 companies and governments build their brands.
I have also helped in creating processes and parameters in a lot of disciplines from food delivery to nation branding, and along the way, I have started my own companies in different industries. Some have failed, and some have succeeded.
I also have been writing for more time than I care to remember. I’ve written poetry, essays, literary reviews, opinion pieces, etc. I’ve also written a few works of fiction, which I might publish – inertia willing – this year.
I’ve put off writing a blog for the longest time because I had no idea what my niche could be. My interests are eclectic and my background is diverse. I figured I should document my interests rather than seek some hyperspecific niche, and bore myself to death with it.
Also, I think life, love, career, and death can be contained with words, within the confines of a feeling, which, for want of better words, is a mixture of daring, curiosity, humor, and irreverence. So this website is a journey that attempts to document this feeling. I’m interested in a lot of things. You’ll find me writing about everything from WordPress to Wittgenstein, Branding to language to rap here.
